Kiki Bertens made another huge statement in her first ever match at the WTA Finals. Bertens came from a set and a break down to defeat Angelique Kerber 1-6 6-3 6-4. Bertens has now won 11 matches against top 10 opponents since Madrid this year.
Garnering crowd attention on the WTA circuit in 2016 when she made it to the Semis of the French Open, Kiki Bertens is a Dutch WTA player who began playing tennis at the age of 6. She was born in Wateringen, Netherlands on 10 December 1991. Bertens turned pro in 2009 and is being coached by Raemon Sluiter.
